I invite you to join Cindy and I in accelerating the mission on finding cures for cancer, to dream of a world with less cancer and more birthdays, and inspire the reality of a world with NO cancer. As chairs of the American Cancer Society’s Champions of Hope gala, we hope you will join us on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the St. Louis Union Station for a very special inaugural fundraising event for the American Cancer Society!
Today, two out of every three people diagnosed with cancer will survive. With your help, we are aiming to make that three out of three. Our mission is to aid the fight to end cancer, and raise revenue to support the Society’s life-saving mission by funding cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services.
Hope is possible and cures do happen. Because of your support of the American Cancer Society and efforts like this, we celebrate a 22% decline in cancer deaths and 1.5 million lives that have been saved. But we know there is more left to do. Our dreams need to take flight to a place where the sky’s the limit. Quite simply put, the fight against cancer needs you to help get us there.
Many of us have family or friends affected by cancer, which is one of the reasons why we all are here today. Whether it’s participating in the live and silent auctions, enjoying dinner and dancing, connecting with old friends and meeting new ones, let’s rise to the occasion and embrace the opportunity to make a difference.
Thank you for your generous support, and we look forward to welcoming you to the gala in November.

For more than a 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s. Join us to help finish the fight.
